Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and constraints.
• Design sheet metal products and components using CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
• Develop detailed drawings, models, and prototypes for manufacturing.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze design proposals for cost-effectiveness, functionality. and manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve design-related issues during production.
• Perform design iterations and improvements based on feedback and testing results.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sheet metal design.
  Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Design Engineer in the sheet metal industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, including bending, cutting, welding, and finishing.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and codes related to sheet metal design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability
  (DFM) principles.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural analysis of sheet metal components.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with product lifecycle management
  (PLM) software.
