Licensing & Permits Specialist

Role Purpose

Manage the end-to-end licensing lifecycle for EV charging stations, ensuring full compliance with EGYPTERA regulations and Egyptian Electricity Laws.


Key Responsibilities

  • Permit Acquisition: Prepare and submit initial permit applications, including company data and feasibility studies, to EEUCPRA.
  • Utility Coordination: Liaison with electricity distribution companies to secure site approvals and obtain grid connection cost estimates (maqayasa).
  • Contract Management: Execute supply contracts within 30 days of permit issuance and oversee meter installations.
  • Final Licensing: Obtain operating licenses post-construction and ensure all stations are registered on the official national electronic map.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage license renewals every 5 years and maintain a complete archive of all permits and legal documents.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in government liaison or licensing (experience with EGYPTERA is a major plus).
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of Electricity Law No. 87 / 2015 and Circular No. 5 / 2022.
  • Skills: Strong follow-up skills, stakeholder management, and proficiency in Arabic (English is a plus
